Some people call it Groundhog Day, but before Punxsutawney Phil ever nosed the air to see if it was close to spring, people were singing happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Robert Lee, happy birthday to you.
First time, February 2, 1896.
Peace be with you and may we all enjoy many happy returns of the day.
And, keep in mind, youngest was born on Lincoln's b-day, oldest on reformation day, they fly all the flags for Papa's b-day and sometimes Columbus day and mine are at the same time. Middle sibling reports in a comment that she shares b-day with Douglas MacArthur.
Any others??

I actually did remember this yesterday when I first saw the date. Some dates just stick in your mind, don't they?
I share a b'day with Douglas MacArthur. I remember announcements of his b'day over the intercom at school.
And also, Susan S of course.
My birthday is shared with Hitler and the Columbine attacks... not quite a happy day historically!
