A quote from Dumb & Dumber that always makes me laugh comes at the end of Lloyd and Harry's odyssey to a place where "beer flows like wine" and "beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano."
Lloyd, after traveling thousands of miles to return the briefcase of ransom money Mary purposefully left at the airport for her husband's kidnappers, finally gets a chance to express his obsession with her. Of course, she is way out of his league and married to boot, and Lloyd is clueless, but ever the optimist:
Lloyd: What are the chances of a guy like you and a girl like me... ending up together?
Mary: Well, that's pretty difficult to say.
Lloyd: Hit me with it! I've come a long way to see you, Mary. The least you can do is level with me. What are my chances?
Mary: Not good.
Lloyd: You mean, not good like one out of a hundred?
Mary: I'd say more like one out of a million.
[pause]
Lloyd: So you're telling me there's a chance.
