Papa got in the river and made the circle more than 10 times before he was ready to get out.
We ate at the Antlers restaurant at the resort, he had steak and tasted most of the wild game I ordered (another first, antelope, venison, wild boar and quail).
We took him in an afternoon drive in a convertible (picture to come)
Two pretty girls kissed him for his 80th bday (Middle and Youngest).
Several groups of strangers (usually kids) actually serenaded him in the hallway of the hotel with the happy bday song when I told them of the event.
Middle had accumulated 50 years of family movies and slides (most of which no one had ever seen) and digitalized them onto dvds so we watched as Papa identified people we didn’t recognize. Youngest kept asking, “where am I?” (she was born seven years after me, so there is a lot of recorded history she did not witness).
A good time was had by all.
