We made a number of close friends in Newfoundland, some of whom we met later in our travels. One family in particular had twins my age, who will remain nameless for reasons you will deduce shortly.
About ten years after we left Newfoundland their family was assigned to a base in Alabama, and we dropped in to see them when we were moving from one place to another. After a good long visit and dinner, they invited us all to spend the night with them and pick up our travels the next day. They had one disclaimer and word of warning: the whole family slept naked, and one of the twins walked in her sleep.
That was enough -- Granny had never heard of such a thing and in her small world, sleeping without pajamas was devient enough, but the chance that we might be awakened by a naked sleepwalker was just too much. We thanked them and immediately left for a hotel.
