Lord, help me Jesus, . . .

Middle asked for the song:

Why me Lord
What have I ever done
To deserve even one
Of the pleasures I've known

Tell me Lord
What did I ever do
that was worth loving you
for the kindness you've shown

Lord help me Jesus,
I've wasted it so help me Jesus
I know what I am.
Now that I know,
That I've needed you so
Help me Jesus,
My soul's in your hands

Try me Lord
If you think there's a way
I can try to repay
All I've taken from you

Maybe Lord
I can show someone else
What I've been through myself
On my way back to you.

Lord help me Jesus
I've wasted it so help me Jesus
I know what I am
Now that I know
That I've needed you so
Help me Jesus
My soul's in your hands.

Jesus, my soul's in your hands.

(No where else to go you know)

Anyway, I just happened to bring my guitar

So we sang it.

And she dominated.

She sang with more soul than I've ever heard: "Lord help me Jesus . . . " with a really hard Texas "r" in Lord and a long expressive Texas "e" in Jesus just like she's been here all along (and not in the cold, frozen North).

Listen and learn Kris.

Pictures taken from her blog.

I always liked that song. It was fun to sing together, wasn't it. Was my accent that bad? It was all fake, you know. I've been yankee-ized!
